Who we areIn the fall of 2000, numerous groups who provide or administer public benefits in the State of Washington gathered to begin framing a coordinate approach to delivering public benefits. It became clear to all involved that a "no wrong door" approach to benefit adminstration was the most effective mechanism for serving the wide range of constituent need. The concept of a public benefit portal arose out of the need for a tool to qualify and enroll constituents into a wide variety of existing benefit programs. The current group consists of represenatives from the City of Seattle, King County, and the State of Washington. |
